"Why I Burned Down Flower City" is a multimedia art project meant to function as a companion to
Apologist's album of the same name.
It is meant to explore how emotion can taint and influence a place, and how hindsight can seem like a missed omen. By combining photographs taken over a three year period with cryptic poetry and creepypasta-esque writing, Why I Burned Down Flower City attempts to turn a mundane place into a sinister site of cryptids, unexplained phenomena, hauntings, and general terror.
All media on this website was created by Apologist unless stated otherwise. The vast majority of these photographs were taken before this project was even an idea, and so all photographic subjects have had their faces blurred out unless permission to show their faces has been granted.
